CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS OPEN TO ARTISTS OF ALL MEDIUMS THEME: PLASTIC IS FANTASTIC
It is a certainty that today, the planet intrigue faces a serious environmental problem that affects the health of all living things and plants. According to the latest studies, 75% of the waste in the ocean water is polluted with plastic, the factors are multiple, and the fight is a difficult and long-lasting one. Thus, we have the duty to communicate culturally that changes can start from each individual to communities, countries, and continents. The proposed theme, „Plastic is Fantastic,” is one through which we try to raise an alarm signal and through the exhibited works to bring this problem before the viewer. Is plastic fantastic? Yes, it is created by people, it is a useful and versatile material, it has brought countless advances in medicine, science, it is cheap and durable. These advantages are overshadowed by the mountains of waste, our project wants to change by educating and involving each artist, demonstrating that there are forms of recycling that can bring another face to the type and impact of recycling.
All types of work environments are accepted and the judging and selection criteria belong to the organizers.
The working surface is a minimum of 50×70 cm and a maximum of 100×100 cm.
